Accessibility Statement

Leafminder wants this shop to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or speech input. This statement sets out where we stand under the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) and the technical standard EN 301 549, which follows WCAG 2.1 level AA.

1. How accessible this site is

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, but some content does not — the parts we know about are listed below.

2. What we have done

• Every page starts with a "skip to content" link, so a keyboard user need not tab through the header and menu on each page.
• Page regions are marked up as header, navigation, main content and footer, so assistive software can jump between them.
• Buttons and links that show only an icon carry a text name for screen readers.
• Form fields have labels that stay attached to them, and errors are described in text rather than by colour alone.
• Keyboard focus is always visible, with a clear outline.
• Animation is reduced automatically if your device asks for reduced motion.
• Pages can be zoomed and reflow without horizontal scrolling.

3. Known limitations

We know the following are not yet fully accessible, and we are working on them:

• Photographs of parts — descriptions are written by our staff. Where a description is missing or unhelpful, a screen reader will announce little about the picture.
• Colour contrast — this shop can be re-coloured, and a colour chosen for the design may fall below the required contrast in places.
• Third-party components — payment pages, maps and embedded video belong to other providers and follow their own accessibility.
• Documents — PDF invoices and forms are generated for print and are not fully tagged for screen readers. Ask us and we will send the same information in an accessible format.
